It can be serious fun keeping up with all the new beer releases at this time of year. And here are five big and small summer releases timed to pair brilliantly with the season.
The Art of Seduction (Garland, TX) – It’s no secrets we’re big fans of Lakewood Brewing, Wim and his team are just so good at what they do! And they recently released the latest from their impressive Seduction Series and as usual it blew us away! Lakewood Mole Temptress is their brilliant 9.1% ABV brewed with vanilla, chilies, cacao and cinnamon and it’s pretty damned brilliant…just sayin’.
Remastering Time (Charlottesville, VA) – Starr Hill Brewing has remastered one of their flagships… and not surprisingly, now it’s even better. Redesigned to showcase more body and a more citrusy taste and aroma Starr Hill’s new Grateful Pale Ale is now available on draft, in 6-pack bottles, and cans throughout Starr Hill’s distribution area – so you know what to do.
Don’t Be re-Dank-ulous (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders has just returned a fan favorite as part of their Specialty Series that has won back-to-back medals at the Great American Beer Festival (2015 and 2016). A careful balance of deep malty richness and pungent mosaic hop “danknicity,” Founders reDANKulous Imperial Red IPA started making its way through Founders 46 state footprint on June 1st – so again, you know what to do.
Game Of Thrones Toned (Cooperstown, NY) – Brewery Ommegang and HBO are celebrating this summer’s return of Game of Thrones (July 16th) with their latest GOT series collaboration that will have you on your knees. Bend The Knee Golden Ale is an 8.5% ABV Belgian-style ale with a rich mead-like malt backbone and hints of citrus and honey sweetness.
A New Partner Ship In July (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer just reached out to let us know that their second “Partner Ships” collaboration release (this time with Cigar City) will be shipping in July and that it’s a HUGE 7.8% ABV India Pale Lager that’s been heavily dosed on Cascade, Centennial, Mosaic, Simcoe, Mandarina Bavaria hops! Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
